The GaF (Gaming with Family) System

This system exists because I somehow convinced my family members, who are not gamers, to play a Call of Cthulhu one-shot during Christmas 2021. I didn’t have any of my sourcebooks, and I knew that subjecting them to the full character creation process would drain their tentative enthusiasm pretty quickly. As a result, I raided some of the old board games in the house for dice and created this very simple system so that we could play.
Is this system polished? No! Is it deep? No! Does it work? Kinda! Did it create a suitable amount of randomness and tension? If my family members shouting, “Woo” in unison, whenever they succeeded is any indication, I’d say yes!
